Ergazzori secures IRS Cup E1 1400 title at Pedavena hillclimb

Alberto Ergazzori from Monteforte d'Alpone claimed victory in the E1 1400 class at the 42nd Pedavena–Croce d'Aune hillclimb in northern Italy, securing the IRS Cup title with one round remaining in the 2026 season. The event counted towards both the CIVM Nord championship and the IRS Cup series.

Driving a Fiat Cinquecento Sporting for Scuderia FB Image, Ergazzori delivered a controlled performance that saw him finish seventh in the E1 group standings while winning his class outright. He also achieved a top-10 position in the broader E1 category within the CIVM Nord classification. The result marked a strong recovery after a difficult outing at the previous Cansiglio round.

Ergazzori explained his approach after the race: "I tried to make minimal adjustments to the car because it was already very efficient from the start. Matching last year's practice time gave me confidence. In the race, I focused on consistency and a steady pace, which ultimately paid off." He added that he hopes to contest the final IRS Cup round at Cividale to conclude the season on a high note.

The driver maintained his strong form in the CIVM Nord standings, where he continues to hold a leading position in his class across multiple rounds this season.
