FX Racing Weekend concludes at Vallelunga with spectacle and crowds

FX Racing Weekend delivered a weekend of motorsport spectacle at Autodromo Vallelunga, held within the framework of the American Festival of Rome. The event saw FX categories share the programme with the EuroNASCAR championship, drawing substantial crowds and creating an atmosphere characteristic of American motorsport culture. Twelve races across FX Pro Series, Trofeo Predator's, Legend Cars and FX2/X-F3 categories featured close competition, overtakes, comebacks and photo finishes throughout the weekend.

In FX Pro Series, Giulio Luci claimed pole position and converted it into his second seasonal victory in race one, holding off championship leader Salvatore Liotti and returning driver Salvatore Orlando. Liotti responded decisively in race two, storming from the third row to secure victory and further strengthen his championship lead. Luci finished second, while Claudio Tempesti took third overall and completed a double success in the Over category.

The fifth round of Trofeo Predator's saw Lorenzo Brunetti secure his first win of the year in race one, ahead of pole-sitter Riccardo Tocu and Thomas Pan. Tocu claimed revenge in race two, returning to the top step and advancing his title ambitions. Brunetti and Andrea Campagna completed the podium, while Nicola Schileo dominated the Honda-powered category with a double victory, also winning the Over classification.

On the shared FX2/X-F3 grid, Valentino Carofano won the opening race, which concluded early under red flags due to poor visibility. Franco Felisa and Andrea Masci completed the X-F3 podium, with Vito Di Bello leading the FX2 ahead of Andrea Pizzo. In Super F1000, Enrico Battaglia prevailed over Federico Crozzolo and Andrea Galluzzi. Race two saw Paraguayan driver Mateo Valente take the chequered flag in X-F3 ahead of Carofano and Masci, while Di Bello secured a double in FX2 and Crozzolo won Super F1000 from Galluzzi and Passarelli.

Legend Cars provided six races split between Group A and Group B. In Group A, Giorgio Basoli won race one from Christian Betti and Gianluca Mussi. Alessandro Bollini returned to victory in race two with Betti second ahead of Leonardo Guerzoni, before Basoli claimed race three in a thrilling finish, edging Mussi by just 22 thousandths with Christian Marcoccia third. Group B saw Alessandro Premi dominate with three consecutive wins: over Nicolò Meacci and Simone Danese in race one, Lorenzo Ballerini and Andrea Tronconi in race two, and Marsilio Canuti and Andrea Calloni in the finale.

FX Management CEO Luca Panizzi expressed satisfaction with the event, noting the prestigious setting alongside EuroNASCAR and the enthusiastic crowd created a special atmosphere. He highlighted the competitive racing and close finishes, praising the team's management of a demanding weekend. FX Racing Weekend returns to action from 16–18 October at Mugello Circuit, where additional categories including Supersport GT will compete as the season approaches its decisive phase.
