Valle di Comino hosts inaugural national slalom on 26–27 September

The Comino Valley in central Italy is preparing to host the inaugural Slalom Valle di Comino, a national ACI Sport competition scheduled for 26–27 September. The event will take place in the Ciociaria region of Frosinone province, with entry registration closing at midnight on Wednesday, 23 September.

The slalom will count as the eleventh round of the 23rd Challenge Interregionale 26, organised by Basilicata Motorsport in partnership with Ianni Rent. The competition welcomes a broad range of machinery: single-seaters, prototypes, rallycross cars, rally vehicles, road cars in Racing Start and RS Plus formulas, and historic vehicles. A separate category for touring car slalom is also included.

The 2,850-metre course will be laid out on Provincial Road 94 through San Donato val di Comino, featuring a mix of hairpins, chicanes and cones. Saturday 26 September will be devoted to vehicle arrival and administrative checks (technical inspection from 15:00 to 20:00, sporting verification from 14:30 to 19:30), with headquarters at the municipal delegation in Atina. The afternoon will also host a women-in-motorsport networking event. Racing begins on Sunday 27 September at 08:30 with a drivers' briefing, followed by a reconnaissance lap at 09:15 and three competitive runs. The event is expected to conclude around 15:30, with prize-giving at 16:00 in San Donato's Piazza Libertà.

Among confirmed entries is Saverio Miglionico, the 2017 Italian absolute slalom champion from Potenza, who will drive a Radical Prosport 1600. The event is backed by the Lazio Region, Frosinone Province, local municipalities, the Comino Valley Mountain Community, and other regional bodies, and forms part of celebrations marking the centenary of the Automobile Club Frosinone.
