BeamNG.drive launches on PlayStation 5 on 19 October
BeamNG.drive will arrive on PlayStation 5 on 19 October alongside version 0.40 for PC, introducing a new vehicle, split-screen local multiplayer, and console-specific graphics optimisations.
The physics-driven driving simulator BeamNG.drive is coming to PlayStation 5 on 19 October, the developers have announced. The console release will coincide with the rollout of update v0.40 for personal computers.
The update brings a new vehicle to the game alongside local split-screen multiplayer support for cooperative play. Both versions will receive graphical and technical optimisations. On standard PS5 hardware, FSR 3 upscaling technology will be supported, while owners of the more powerful PS5 Pro will gain access to PSSR.
The core simulation mechanics remain unchanged: expansive open-world maps, comprehensive vehicle customisation, and the signature soft-body physics system that deforms the chassis and components in real time during collisions and impacts.
At launch on PlayStation, modifications will not be available. The developers are exploring the possibility of adding mod support to the console in the future, though no timeline has been specified. The World Editor and mod creation tools will not be ported to PS5.
