Corsair acquires Trak Racer in $50m deal, integrates with Fanatec
Corsair has acquired sim racing hardware manufacturer Trak Racer in a transaction valued at $50 million, establishing a dedicated sim racing division within the company's portfolio. The deal comprises $40 million in upfront cash, with an additional $10 million earn-out contingent on the achievement of specified performance milestones.
Trak Racer will operate as a sub-brand under Fanatec, Corsair's sim racing hardware arm, consolidating the company's presence in the competitive sim racing peripherals market. The acquisition marks a significant consolidation move in the sim racing hardware sector, bringing together two established names in racing wheels, pedals, and cockpit systems.
