Hopwell crowned 2026 Time Attack Clubman Champion

Clive Hopwell has been crowned the 2026 Time Attack Clubman Champion after a consistent campaign in his MMT Performance Volkswagen Golf R. The title came down to a closely contested battle throughout the season, with Hopwell ultimately prevailing over a strong field of competitors.

David Dyson emerged as Hopwell's primary challenger, securing victory in a particularly tight Super Attack contest at Snetterton. However, Hopwell's steady performances through the season proved decisive, and he clinched the championship honours at Brands Hatch as the season progressed.

Hopwell capped his title-winning campaign in style at Cadwell Park, the season finale. He led the Clubman class throughout the day before delivering his strongest performance in Super Attack, topping the class and setting a new Clubman lap record in the process.

David Dyson finished second in the championship standings, with Adam Taylor completing the podium in third place. Time Attack UK acknowledged the depth of competition across the Clubman field during the 2026 season.
