SMP Esports launches RAF Trophy sim racing series with TCR cars
SMP Esports has announced the RAF Trophy, a five-round TCR sim racing championship running alongside the RAF Championship on circuits including Brands Hatch, Mugello, Kazan Ring, Moscow Raceway and Sochi Autodrom.
SMP Esports has unveiled the RAF Trophy, a new autumn sim racing tournament featuring virtual TCR machinery. The series complements the previously announced RAF Championship for esports racing and will run across five rounds from October through December.
Three car models have been prepared for the championship. The grid includes two versions of the Lada Vesta, recently refined by SMP Esports specialists, alongside a newly developed Audi RS3 LMS. The German car's physics model was created using real-world data in collaboration with racing team AG Team.
Organisers have prioritised competitive balance between the three machines, validated through pre-season testing. The regulations include compensatory weight adjustments to fine-tune performance parity among competitors.
The RAF Trophy calendar mirrors the RAF Championship schedule, with rounds at Brands Hatch on 4 October, Mugello on 25 October, Kazan Ring on 8 November, Moscow Raceway on 22 November, and Sochi Autodrom on 13 December. Both championships share identical core rules.
Participants can download car models and track files for preparation. Pre-qualification begins on 30 September, with registration for each round opening on the SMP Esports website ahead of the respective event.
