D'Angelo wins CIVM Nord hillclimb title, runner-up in Italian Supersalita

Giuseppe D'Angelo, known in hillclimb circles as Giosy71, has capped a dominant 2026 season with two significant titles in Italy's premier mountain racing competitions. Piloting a Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo, D'Angelo claimed the Group GT Supercup Division 1 championship in the CIVM Nord series and secured second place in the same category of the national Supersalita championship.

D'Angelo's campaign in the CIVM Nord proved particularly commanding. He won all but two rounds of the season to clinch his third consecutive title in the series, mathematically securing the championship before the final events. His consistency throughout the year established him as a dominant force in the GT Supercup Division 1 category, despite competition from newer technical evolutions within the class.

The runner-up finish in the Italian Supersalita championship, the country's premier hillclimb series, underscores D'Angelo's competitive standing at the highest level of the discipline. The result reflects sustained performance across both major Italian mountain racing competitions, built through careful preparation and reliable machinery.

D'Angelo expressed satisfaction with the season's achievements, crediting his team's efforts. "We have obtained important results in both Supersalita and CIVM Nord, and this is the fruit of the work of the entire team," he said, acknowledging the contributions of DP Racing patron Claudio De Ciantis, Sergio Santuccione, and Carmine D'Alessandro.

With the CIVM Nord concluded and the Supersalita campaign complete, D'Angelo's focus has turned to the remaining rounds of the Super CIVM series, which will provide the final chapter of an already successful 2026 campaign.
