Playsport Games has provided the first detailed look at Motorsport Manager 2, the sequel to the acclaimed team management simulator. Nearly ten years after the original game's launch, the studio is preparing a substantial expansion of features and gameplay depth.

Modding support has emerged as a core priority. The developers plan to make modifications an integral part of the game from launch, with plans to open Steam Workshop integration later to allow players to create custom tracks, vehicles and championships. A well-known modder from the original Motorsport Manager has been brought on to ensure the modding system is implemented with quality.

Motorcycle racing represents the second major addition. It will operate as a separate discipline alongside formula series, endurance racing and GT championships, broadening the range of motorsport categories available to players.

Gameplay mechanics will incorporate a social layer: drivers and team staff will now possess relationships, morale, desires and individual opinions, adding depth to team management decisions.

Developer focus has also extended to junior talent development systems. Drivers will be able to progress from karting and lower-tier series through to professional championships, while players gain tools to scout promising talent and nurture them through their own academy structures.
