SMP Esports launches RAF BR03 virtual championship season
SMP Esports has opened a new season of the official RAF Esports Championship with 50 drivers competing in digital replicas of the BR03 sports car, featuring both modern and classic versions of the Russian machine.
SMP Esports has launched a new season of the official RAF Esports Championship, inviting competitors to race precise digital versions of the BR03 sports car. The grid attracted 50 entries at the start, setting up a large-scale virtual competition.
Organisers have expanded the single-make series by permitting both contemporary and historic versions of the Russian sports car on track. While the two variants differ in appearance, they share identical physics models, ensuring fair competition between drivers regardless of which version they pilot.
Alexander Pogorelev topped the pre-qualifying session at Brands Hatch. The driver previously won the RAF Cup in Formula 4 machinery this spring and will be among the favourites to repeat that success in the current season.
The virtual BR03 cup takes place ahead of the grand finale of the Russian circuit racing season, scheduled for Moscow Raceway from 9 to 11 October. The weekend will feature sprint races and a six-hour RSKG Endurance marathon, concluding the 2026 season.
