Salita dei Monti Iblei 2026: Super CIVM finale opens entries
The Salita dei Monti Iblei hillclimb in Sicily will host the Super CIVM season finale on 6–8 November, with entries opening 2 October and expanded validity across three national championships.
The Salita dei Monti Iblei near Chiaramonte Gulfi in Sicily will serve as the season finale for the Super CIVM on 6–8 November, with registrations opening on Friday, 2 October. The event, now in its second year under the organisation of A.S.D. Monti Iblei, has expanded its sporting scope and format following the success of the 2025 edition.
Beyond its role as the Super CIVM finale and the final hillclimb of the calendar year, the event now carries validity for the Italian "Le bicilindriche" championship and the Sicilian Speed Hillclimb championship for both classic and modern cars. The second-tier national classification status reflects the event's growing stature within Italian grassroots motorsport.
New for 2026 is the Giorgio Giummarra Memorial, dedicated to the N1600 class winner. The organisers will also distribute voluntary stickers to all competitors in memory of Karol and Giuseppe, two young drivers who died in the tragic circumstances surrounding the Crono di Erice event, inviting drivers to display them on their cars as a mark of respect.
First practice is scheduled for 08:30 on Saturday, 7 November, with the opening race heat at 08:00 on Sunday, 8 November, under the direction of race steward Manlio Mancuso. The event is supported by a substantial roster of local and regional sponsors.
