eNASCAR College iRacing: 100 qualify for Queen City Crown
Over 250 collegiate iRacers competed in a time attack at Charlotte Motor Speedway from 29 September to 4 October, with 100 advancing to the second tournament of the 2026–27 eNASCAR College iRacing Series season.
The Queen City Crown time attack has concluded, determining the field for the second tournament of the 2026–27 eNASCAR College iRacing Series, presented by Logitech G. A total of 420 eligible students registered for the season, representing 249 schools across the United States and Canada; 255 of those students from 144 schools participated in the time attack qualifier at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The 100 qualifiers represent 68 schools, with 10 schools fielding multiple competitors. Among the qualified field, 35 students will make their tournament debut this season, while 65 have now qualified for both tournaments to date. Across the two tournaments held so far, 95 schools have competed in both events, with 20 new schools entering the field this week. Additionally, 24 registered schools are eligible for the inaugural School Championship in this tournament.
Dylan Ault of California State University, Sacramento earned the No. 1 seed for the Queen City Crown following his time attack performance. Jacob Wilkerson of Tarrant County, winner of the opening Peachtree Pursuit tournament, has also qualified. Connor Yeroschak from Calgary headlines the field and faces a potential double-duty scenario: should he reach the Final Round, he will compete in Charlotte one day after racing for the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Championship Series title at the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte leads school representation with 18 students advancing to the Quarterfinals, headed by Aidan McFarland's time attack performance. Belmont Abbey, competing at home, qualified seven students, led by Jalen Atkins. Bowling Green State, Ball State, Ontario Tech, Purdue, Purdue Indianapolis, Alabama, Delaware, and UNOH each sent multiple competitors.
Week 1 of the Queen City Crown tournament begins on Wednesday, 7 October at 19:00 ET, with Week 2 following on 14 October. Points will be awarded to the top 10 finishers in each Semifinal Group, with the largest point allocation coming after the Final Round.
