Playground Games acknowledges Forza Horizon 6 communication gaps

Playground Games has admitted insufficient engagement with Forza Horizon 6 players and is reconsidering both its update strategy and how it presents changes to the community.

Playground Games has acknowledged that it has not adequately communicated with the Forza Horizon 6 player base. The studio stated it is reviewing both the nature of its updates and the methods used to present them to the community.

In Forza Horizon 5, the developers held monthly Let's ¡GO! livestreams where new vehicles, features, and custom tracks were demonstrated in real time. Forza Horizon 6 has largely abandoned this format in favour of text-based announcements on the official website, a shift that has drawn criticism from players.

The community has pointed out that many free vehicles added post-launch were already present in Forza Horizon 5 or Forza Motorsport. Of the seven free cars introduced in the sixth series of updates, only the BMW M4 CS is entirely new to the franchise; the Citroën 2CV received a refreshed model, while the remaining vehicles had previously appeared in other current Forza titles. Playground Games confirmed it is closely monitoring feedback and intends to reassess its approach to the game's ongoing development.
