8 October 2026

The Italian Historic Hillclimb Championship reaches its concluding chapter in the Marche region with the running of the 9th Coppa Faro. Competitors will tackle a course measuring nearly 4 kilometers, featuring a competitive field spread across classic and historic classifications.

In the Classic division, Stefano Peroni enters as a top contender behind the wheel of his Osella PA 20/S BMW. He faces tough opposition from Sicilian veteran Giovanni Cassibba, who has delivered standout performances in his own Osella PA 20/S BMW throughout the season, as well as Filippo Caliceti in an identical machinery.

The battle for overall historic honors is set to be equally fierce. Sicilian driver Salvatore Riolo leads the charge in his PRC A6 BMW, going head-to-head with Piero Lottini in an Osella PA9/90 BMW and Category 4 frontrunner Alessandro Trentini driving a Lucchini SN87 Alfa Romeo. In Category 3, Giuliano Peroni stands out as a prime candidate for top times in his Osella PA8/9 BMW.

A strong Austrian contingent will also contest the event. Carinthian driver Harald Mössler brings his Daren MK3 Cosworth to Category 1, joined by Tyrolean racers Gregor Frötscher and Josef Heinrich, both fielding Austin Mini Cooper S entries. Completing the visiting delegation, Georg Köck will line up in Category 3 piloting a British Leyland Mini 1275 GT.
