NLS Season Finale Preview: Three-Way Title Decider and Notable Debuts on the Nordschleife
The 2026 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie wraps up this Saturday with its tenth and final round, featuring a tense three-way championship fight and a 21-car GT3 field.
The ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie heads into its grand finale this Saturday, October 10, bringing the season to a close with a four-hour race on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The tenth round of the calendar will award the final 15 points of the year, with three driver lineups still in mathematical contention for the overall championship crown.
Leading the standings with 94 points are Edoardo Bugane, Yannick Fübrich, and Sven Markert, who run for Adrenalin Motorsport Team Mainhattan Wheels in the BMW M240i Racing Cup. A class win will take them to 109 points and seal the title. Alexander Fielenbach and Oskar Sandberg sit in second place driving the Smyrlis Racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS, capable of reaching a maximum of 105 points. Should Fielenbach and Sandberg take victory while the Adrenalin trio finishes second, both crews would tie on 105 points and six class wins, giving the tiebreak advantage to Fielenbach and Sandberg due to higher average field sizes in CUP3. Alexandru Vasilescu sits third with 80 points in his AV Racing by BLACK FALCON BMW M4 GT4, retaining an outside chance if he wins his class while his rivals encounter trouble.
The overall grid features 21 GT3 machines in the SP9 division, highlighted by Gamota Racing entering a second BMW M4 GT3 EVO in SP9 AM for Antal Zsigo, Csaba Walter, and Dennis Fetzer, alongside their existing SP9 PRO-AM entry. Konrad Motorsport makes its return to the series with a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO I driven by Pavel Lefterov, Dimitar Balev, and Aleks Stefanov. In the SP10 category, local outfit Jung Motorsport debuts a Mercedes-AMG GT4 for Eugen Weber, Mario Fuchs, and Tobias Jung, utilizing NLS 10 as preparation ahead of a planned full campaign in 2027.
The finale also hosts several notable driver milestones. Formula racing prospect Mathilda Paatz will make her Green Hell debut alongside her father, 16-time NLS class winner Michael Paatz, sharing the mathilda racing VW Scirocco R. Meanwhile, 2024/2025 Digital Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (DNLS) champion Luca Alpert steps into real-world NLS competition for the first time, partnering Christopher Gruber in a Keeevin Motorsport BMW 325i. Qualifying takes place on Saturday morning between 8:30 and 10:00 local time, followed by the four-hour race start at 12:00.
