The 9th Coppa Faro in Pesaro concluded the Italian Historic Hillclimb Championship (CIVSA) and the Classic Car Hillclimb series, crowning four national champions on the scenic 3.8-kilometer SP 44 course running from Pesaro up to the lighthouse. Organized by P&G Racing under pleasant autumn conditions, the event gathered strong competition across all categories.

In the historic standings, newly crowned 4th Group champion Salvatore 'Totò' Riolo set the fastest historic benchmark of the weekend, clocking a time of 2:10.05 in Race 2 behind the wheel of his 2500cc PRC A6 BMW for Squadra Piloti Senesi. Riolo secured the group victory and sealed back-to-back national titles with a pair of clean heats following setup adjustments in Saturday practice. The overall modern-classic classification saw Sicilian veteran Giovanni Cassibba set the quickest combined mark, recording a 2:09.98 run in Race 2 to take the win in an Osella PA 20/S BMW ahead of championship rival Stefano Peroni, who was hampered by mechanical issues on his Osella PA 20 in Race 1.

Giuliano Loris Peroni claimed another 3rd Group title by dominating both hillclimb heats among cars built up to 1982 in his Osella PA 8/9 BMW, stopping the clocks with an aggregate time of 4:50.09. Behind him, Gianluca Luigi Grossi took second in the group and the silhouette 2000 class cup in a right-hand-drive Triumph Dolomite, followed by Giacinto Giacchè in a Fiat 131 Abarth.

Fosco Zambelli clinched the 2nd Group title for Bologna Squadra Corse aboard an Alfa Romeo GTAm. Managing third in heat one and climbing to second in heat two, Zambelli earned the necessary championship points behind race winner Idelbrando Motti, who commanded the group aboard a Porsche Carrera with a winning total of 5:00.50. Lucio Gigliotti took second on the group podium in a Fiat 128.

In 1st Group, Austrian driver Harald Mossler steered his Daren Mk3 to class and group victory with an aggregate time of 5:05.48, securing second in the national championship behind champion Tiberio Nocentini. Compatriot Gregor Frotscher finished second in an Austin Mini Cooper, with Angelo De Angelis taking third in a Lola T212.
