Automobile Club Sassari is finalising preparations for the 64th edition of the Alghero Scala Piccada, scheduled to run from 16 to 18 October in Sardinia. Serving as the second event of the Super CIVM national finals for the Italian Hillclimb Championship, the historic competition is organised in close cooperation with the Municipality of Alghero, the Alghero Foundation, and the Autonomous Region of Sardinia.

Pre-event administrative and technical checks will take place on Friday, 16 October, at the Hotel Green and along Via Emilio Lussu, followed by the drivers' briefing at 18:30. On-track action on the 5,100-metre section of the S.S. 292 begins on Saturday, 17 October, with two practice runs starting at 09:00. The two decisive race heats will get underway at the same time on Sunday, 18 October.

Ahead of the competition, an official press conference is scheduled for Wednesday, 14 October, at 11:00 at Alghero City Hall, where race director Fabrizio Fondacci will present technical details and service arrangements alongside AC Sassari president Giulio Pes di San Vittorio and local municipal leaders.

Entries are concluding with high turnout figures expected across the categories. Following his podium run last year, Luigi Fazzino has already confirmed his return behind the wheel of an Osella PA 30 Evo, joining a competitive field aiming to add their names to the roll of honour alongside previous winner Mirko Torsellini, who claimed victory in a Norma M20FC ahead of Samuele Cassibba and Franco Caruso in their Nova Proto machines.
