Porsche Esports Supercup Round 4: Warren and Sánchez sweep Interlagos
Coanda Esports secured victories in both the Sprint and Main races at Interlagos as dramatic late-race incidents shifted the championship standings.
Round 4 of the 2026 Porsche Esports Supercup World Championship Series at Interlagos produced dramatic twists across both races, culminating in a clean sweep for Coanda Esports. Dayne Warren snatched victory in the Sprint race after a last-second issue for the leader, while Alejandro Sánchez capitalized on final-lap contact in the Main race to seal the squad's second win of the day.
Qualifying saw local driver Gustavo Ariel claim pole position with a lap time of 1:33.055, leading a tightly packed top five that featured Warren, Charlie Collins, Xander Reed, and Elvis Rankin. In the 10-lap Sprint, Ariel appeared firmly on course for victory, leading for nine laps before being forced to serve a slowdown penalty approaching the finish line. Warren and Collins swept past before Ariel cleared the penalty to take third. Behind them, heavy contact in the battle for eighth sent points leader Florian Lebigre into the wall, relegating him to 30th after hitting the incident limit.
The 20-lap Main race delivered further contact among the front-runners. Mitchell deJong and Sebastian Job engaged in an intense battle throughout, with Job leading 17 laps. On the final tour, Job and deJong ran off-course into Turn 1 while contesting the lead. In the ensuing scramble, Sánchez moved into contention alongside Job, and subsequent contact sent Job into a slide. Sánchez crossed the line first, followed by Collins in second and deJong in third, while Job fell to sixth.
With only the finale at Monza remaining, deJong moves into the championship lead on 230 points. Sánchez and Ariel are tied for second on 214 points, Job sits fourth on 210, and Lebigre drops to fifth on 207 points.
