Organized by Misilmeri Racing in collaboration with the local municipality, the 31st Autoslalom Città di Misilmeri – Memorial Luca Cerniglia takes place on 17–18 October. The event serves as the seventh and final round of the Trofeo Sud Slalom AciSport, the seventeenth round of the Sicilian Slalom Championship (with a 1.5 points multiplier), and the fourth round of the Challenge degli Emiri with double points on offer.

The competitive headline centers on a duel between two in-form drivers: Salvatore Catanzaro, entering on a streak of five consecutive victories in his Trapani Corse Gloria B5 Evo Suzuki, and Silvio Fiore, racing a Puntese Corse Radical SR4 Aprilia. Fiore arrives in Sicily fresh from securing second overall in the Italian Slalom Championship and claiming the national E2SC class title. Local competitor Riccardo Cerniglia (Bogani SN84 Suzuki) and Francesco Bigione (Gloria B5 Evo Suzuki) are also among the leading contenders expected to challenge for the overall podium.

The competition will run across a 2.990-kilometer course set along provincial road SP38 connecting Misilmeri and Belmonte Mezzagno via Piano Stoppa. The course features 14 chicane barrier sections designed to regulate speeds. Prior to the competitive weekend, safety enhancements and fresh asphalt resurfacing were completed along sections of the roadway with support from the Metropolitan City of Palermo.

Scrutineering is scheduled for Saturday, 17 October, between 15:00 and 19:00 at the Gaetano Pellingra craft area. On Sunday, 18 October, road closures begin at 07:30 ahead of a mandatory reconnaissance run at 09:00, followed by three competitive heats starting at 10:00. The event will once again honor the memory of local driver Luca Cerniglia, with his father Filippo Cerniglia participating in a Fiat 126 Suzuki.
