The 2026 Bergrallyecup championship arrives at its conclusion this coming Sunday with the seventh and final round held in Markt Hartmannsdorf. Competitors will tackle a high-speed course measuring just over 2 km, known for demanding sections that include a crucial junction along the upper segment and an intricate final corner leading to the finish.

Front-runners for the overall victory include Reinhold Taus behind the wheel of his Subaru Impreza P4 Turbo, who is also focused on defending his crown in Pf Class 1. Strong opposition is expected from veteran hillclimb competitor Rupert Schwaiger in his Porsche 911 3.5 Bi-Turbo, local driver Thomas Nöst in a VW Polo 6 HCR following his recent win at the Austrian national finale in St. Agatha, Franz Kogler in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9, and Karl Heinz Binder campaigning a Ford Sierra Cosworth RS.

Contenders in Pf Class 2a will also push for top positions, led by Peter Probhardt in his Mitsubishi Lancer WRC 05 Evo 3 alongside Felix Pailer in a Lancia Delta Integrale, who remains in contention for the class title. Markus Binder returns in his Ford Escort Cosworth, while Nico Winkler (Skoda Octavia Turbo Evo 3) and Mario Eisner (BMW E46 Coupe Turbo) are also set to feature.

Multiple class title deciders highlight the undercard. Stefan Wiedenhofer enters Markt Hartmannsdorf leading Pf Class 2b in his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9, facing pressure from Ford Escort Cosworth driver Hannes Kaufmann, Andreas Miletich in a VW Scirocco Type S 4x4, and Seat Leon Cupra TCR racer Erwin Heidenbauer. In Pf Class 3a, Erwin Rabl (Mercedes-Benz 190 Evo 1 Turbo) aims to secure championship honors alongside Kevin Reiß, opposed by challenger Stella Ochabauer in a VW Corrado Turbo. Pf Class 3b sees season dominator Heiko Fiausch (Opel Astra STW) aiming to seal both class honors and the AMF-Bergrallyepokal against Karlheinz Stranner and Florian Pyringer, while Patrick Mayer (VW Golf 1 16V 2.0) and Mario Papst (Subaru Impreza GT) highlight the Pf Class 4a field.
