RaceRoom Teases Major Historic Touring Car Expansion with Super Touring Icons

Sector3 Studios has announced an upcoming historic touring car update for RaceRoom, introducing classic icons and 1990s Super Touring machinery.

14 October 2026

The developers of the RaceRoom racing simulator have announced a major historic update aimed at expanding the title's vintage touring car roster with several celebrated vehicles.

As part of the historic grid extension, the Abarth 1000 and Mini Cooper S will join the existing NSU TT to form a dedicated classic car division.

Fans of 1990s touring car racing will also receive Super Touring era machinery, led by the Peugeot 406 and Ford Mondeo. The Mondeo holds a prominent place in British Touring Car Championship history, remembered for its dominant 2000 BTCC campaign and Nigel Mansell's memorable wet-weather showing at Donington Park. Meanwhile, the addition of the Nissan Primera remains uncertain due to ongoing licensing hurdles with the Japanese manufacturer.

Further details regarding the upcoming content are scheduled to be revealed on 16 October during the GRID TALK broadcast, alongside presentations at the SimRacing Expo in Frankfurt.
