The 2026–27 eNASCAR College iRacing Series presented by Logitech G delivered one of the closest conclusions in its history during the Queen City Crown Finale at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Horry-Georgetown Technical College representative Timothy Holmes captured his maiden series triumph after surviving a chaotic final lap and edging California State University, Sacramento's Dylan Ault by just 0.002 seconds at the stripe.

Pole-sitter Connor Yeroschak of the University of Calgary, who had competed in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Championship Series finale in Uptown Charlotte just a night prior, surrendered the lead to Holmes on the opening lap. What followed was an aggressive, draft-heavy contest with continuous lead changes primarily contested between Holmes, Ault, and Yeroschak across the 100-lap distance.

The race was heavily punctuated by caution periods and aggressive restarts. Yeroschak's bid for victory ended with 14 laps remaining after being collected in a multi-car collision near the front following a restart where several contenders took two fresh tires. That opened the door for a final seven-lap showdown, where Ault initially led before Holmes surged ahead into Turn 1 with draft assistance from Triton College's Adam Garza.

On the final lap, Garza made a dive into Turn 3 to challenge Holmes, sending both slightly sideways on exit and allowing Ault to launch a massive outside run off Turn 4. The trio crossed the line separated by mere fractions of a second, with Holmes narrowly taking the win over Ault and Garza in third. Tournament 1 winner Jacob Wilkerson finished fourth to maintain his overall student standings lead by six points over Holmes, while the series prepares to shift focus to road racing with Ford Mustang GT4 machinery at Watkins Glen International.
