11th Slalom Città di Dorgali Announced for October 24–25 as Sardinian Season Finale
Organisers have unveiled the schedule and route for the 11th Slalom Città di Dorgali, which will conclude the Coppa Zona 2 and ACI Sport Sardegna slalom championships on October 24–25.
Organisers Autosport Dorgali and Asd Usini Motorsport have formally presented the 11th edition of the Slalom Città di Dorgali (Cala Gonone-Galleria), scheduled to take place on 24–25 October. Held at the Cantina Dorgali winery, the launch event outlined the key details for the competition, which will serve as the final round of both the Coppa Zona 2 and the ACI Sport Sardegna Slalom Regional Championship.
The competition will run along a 4-kilometre stretch of the Strada Provinciale 26 connecting Cala Gonone to Galleria (from km 4+700 to km 0+700), featuring 13 slalom chicane gates. The date was shifted into late October to avoid high tourist coach traffic in the coastal village while still capitalizing on favorable local autumn weather.
Scrutineering will take place on Saturday, 24 October, with administrative checks running from 14:30 to 19:00 at the Protezione Civile base in Iscrittiorè and technical inspections set for 15:00 to 19:30 at Piazza del Porto in Cala Gonone. The competitive action gets underway on Sunday, 25 October, following a road closure at 07:00. An official reconnaissance run at 09:30 will precede three timed race heats directed by Fabrizio Bernetti, followed by the podium ceremony at the Palmasera amphitheatre in Cala Gonone.
Competitors must submit their entries before the deadline on Wednesday, 21 October, at 12:00. Event documentation is accessible through the Sportity app using the password Dorgali26. In addition to regular championship contenders, Autosport Dorgali confirmed that driver Paolo Diana will join the event as an invited guest, courtesy of Team Autoservice Sport.
