GoRace: Advanced 15-Point Tyre Model Introduced for Simulator

The development team behind GoRace: KontrAvariyka has detailed its newly implemented 15-point tyre physics model after nearly two years of work.

The developers of GoRace: KontrAvariyka have shared technical insights into their simulator's tyre physics system. According to the team, engineering and fine-tuning the tyre model required approximately 1.8 years of dedicated development.

Tyre behaviour serves as the primary interface between the vehicle and the track surface, fundamentally shaping the realism of the simulator's handling dynamics. To enhance accuracy, the project implemented a distributed 15-point contact patch model rather than relying on a simplified single-point calculation.

By dividing the contact area into multiple independent zones, the simulation calculates grip levels separately across each surface segment. This architecture is designed to deliver more detailed and nuanced force feedback through the steering wheel during complex vehicle manoeuvres.
