iRacing to Test Multiple Pace Cars for Multiclass Starts in Upcoming iTested Series

iRacing has announced a special iTested Series running from 16 to 19 October to evaluate multiclass starting procedures using multiple pace cars.

16 October 2026

A new round of the iTested Series will take place in iRacing from 16 to 19 October 2026. The dedicated testing events will focus on evaluating a revised multiclass starting procedure featuring multiple pace cars, giving sim racers an early look at the upcoming functionality in live server conditions.

The sessions will run 30-minute races departing every hour at 30 minutes past the hour. The vehicle roster features IMSA GTP, LMP2, and GT3 machinery across two iconic venues. Competitors will tackle Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on 16–17 October before the event transitions to Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans on 18–19 October.

While incident points recorded during the events will impact each driver's Safety Rating as usual, official iRating will remain unaffected. Drivers who take part in at least one session over the course of the four-day test window will receive the rare iTested Award, which will be credited once the series concludes, including for members who have earned the accolade previously.

Because the primary goal of the series is feature testing and stability monitoring, the development team has asked participants to submit reports of any bugs or anomalous behavior to the dedicated forum discussion thread, as well as retain their session replays to assist in technical reviews.
