Assetto Corsa EVO Open-World Online Sessions to Support Up to 30 Drivers
Kunos Simulazioni has shared new details about the multiplayer structure of the open-world mode in Assetto Corsa EVO, confirming 30-player lobbies alongside AI traffic.
The developers of the upcoming racing simulator Assetto Corsa EVO have revealed fresh details regarding the game's open-world multiplayer architecture. Shared online roaming sessions are set to accommodate up to 30 players simultaneously, running seamlessly alongside standard AI-controlled civilian road traffic.
In addition to free exploration across the open environment, players will be able to engage in four-car sprint races. During these head-to-head sprints, the active section of the road will be entirely closed off to AI traffic, preventing any interference with the battle for position. The title will also feature a dedicated Time Attack mode supported by global online leaderboards.
Looking further ahead, studio Kunos Simulazioni plans to introduce an integrated custom route editor. The tool will allow users to manually set start and finish lines, configure custom road layouts, and share their creations with the wider sim racing community.
