Kunos Simulazioni has confirmed the official release date for the free-roam open-world mode in Assetto Corsa EVO. The major update introducing the feature is scheduled to launch on December 9.
At release, drivers will have access to an area spanning approximately 400 square kilometers recreating the terrain around the renowned German racing venue. The map links the Nordschleife circuit with surrounding public routes and settlements, including Nürburg, Adenau, and Müllenbach. Players will be able to navigate the road network in both single-player and multiplayer sessions.
Beyond free exploration, the open-world map will host various activities such as lap time challenges, races against other drivers, and designated points of interest. The developers noted that the December rollout represents the initial step for the mode, with further expansions and content planned for future updates.
