Simone Faggioli Sets New Course Record to Win 64th Alghero Scala Piccada
Simone Faggioli claimed his fourth career victory at the Alghero Scala Piccada hillclimb, setting a new course record aboard his Nova Proto NP01 Bardahl.
Fresh from securing his 2026 title, Simone Faggioli concluded his season in dominant fashion by winning the 64th edition of the Alghero Scala Piccada hillclimb in Sardinia. Driving the Nova Proto NP01 Bardahl on Pirelli tires for the Best Lap squad, the Florentine driver led an all-Nova Proto podium finish.
Faggioli cemented the victory by establishing a new outright course record during the opening race heat, stopping the clocks at 2'18"92. He finished ahead of Best Lap teammates Mirko Torsellini and Franco Caruso, securing his fourth career triumph at the historic Italian event.
Representing the federal ACI Team Italia banner in hillclimb competition this season, Faggioli praised both the event organization and the collective team result, noting that preparation is already turning toward racing plans for 2027.
