Giovanni Cassibba Secures Italian Historic Hillclimb Championship Title

Giovanni Cassibba has been crowned the Italian Historic Hillclimb champion (Campionato Italiano Velocità Salita Auto Classiche) in the category dedicated to cars built from 1993 onwards. The confirmation for the Ateneo Motorsport veteran came following a detailed review of the final standings and points tallies.

Piloting his familiar Osella PA 20/S, the Comiso-born competitor successfully defended his 2025 crown to claim back-to-back championships in 2026. The experienced Sicilian driver built his successful campaign on five victories across the eight scheduled events on the calendar.

Throughout the season, Cassibba faced intense competition from Florentine driver Stefano Peroni in an Osella PA 20. The decisive moment of the championship battle arrived at the season finale, the Coppa Faro, where a double victory sealed the title in Cassibba's favor.
