Digital Nürburgring Endurance Series Unveils Four-Round Schedule for Season 8
The Digital Nürburgring Endurance Series has announced its Season 8 calendar, featuring four three-hour virtual races on iRacing that once again count toward the real-world DMSB Permit Nordschleife.
Organisers of the Digital Nürburgring Endurance Series (DNLS) have revealed the schedule and key regulations for the upcoming eighth season. The winter sim racing championship on iRacing will feature four three-hour endurance races on the virtual Nordschleife, beginning just before Christmas on 19 December 2026. Further rounds will follow in early 2027, with events scheduled for 9 January, 20 February, and 13 March.
For the second consecutive year, the virtual championship provides a recognized pathway to real-world racing. Competitors holding at least an International D-License (Circuit) can have a DNLS campaign credited toward the practical requirements of the Level B DMSB Permit Nordschleife (DPN). To qualify for the permit credit, drivers must be classified in at least three of the four rounds without incurring penalties, alongside completing an RCN performance test (Leistungsprüfung).
The grid will again span four distinct categories, including the GT3-based SP9 class, where teams are required to field at least one driver with real-world motorsport experience alongside virtual specialists. The field also includes the Porsche Esports Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PEETN) running the Porsche 911 Cup with an 8,000 euro prize fund, the SP10 category for GT4 machinery from Aston Martin, BMW, and Mercedes-AMG, and a single-make division for the BMW M2 Racing.
Defending champions will face strong competition across the board. In Season 7, BS+COMPETITION secured overall series honours after taking a clean sweep in the BMW M2 division, while Falken Simracing returns to defend its SP9 GT3 title won by a single point. EMM Esports enters as the reigning champion in the PEETN class. All four events will be broadcast live with commentary, with official DMSB-approved regulations due to be published shortly on the series website.
