SCS Software Reveals Overhauled Edinburgh for Euro Truck Simulator 2
SCS Software has shared the first look at a fully reworked Edinburgh, coming as part of the broader United Kingdom rework project in Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Developer SCS Software has published the first previews of a comprehensively updated Edinburgh for Euro Truck Simulator 2. The overhaul of Scotland's capital is part of an ongoing project to modernize the game's entire United Kingdom map.
The studio placed significant focus on regional authenticity, recreating the distinctive architecture across both the Old Town and New Town districts. Players will encounter several well-known landmarks, including Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street, the Scott Monument, the Balmoral Hotel, St John's Scottish Episcopal Church, Arthur's Seat, and Calton Hill. In addition to aesthetic changes, the urban road layout is being completely rebuilt, and the city's tram network will be operational along the streets.
Beyond visual upgrades, the reworked Edinburgh introduces functional additions. These include a dedicated bus station designed for the upcoming Coaches passenger transport mode, as well as the Leith docks district, serving as a new port hub for cargo contracts. SCS Software has not yet announced an official release date for the updated city.
