Le Mans Ultimate to Host First Official 24-Hour Special Event
Studio 397 has scheduled its first non-test 24-hour race in Le Mans Ultimate for 23–24 October, putting the sim's upgraded online infrastructure to the ultimate test.
Le Mans Ultimate is set to host its first full-scale 24-hour special event on 23–24 October. Unlike earlier long-distance trials, developers Studio 397 are no longer designating this race as an experimental test, marking a major milestone for the official endurance racing simulator.
Previous community attempts to hold endurance races exceeding 12 hours encountered significant technical hurdles and network instabilities. Consequently, this upcoming 24-hour contest serves as a pivotal trial for the platform's overhauled online netcode and server stability under prolonged loads.
The virtual endurance marathon will feature a 62-car grid spread across three familiar classes: Hypercar, LMP2, and LMGT3.
A trouble-free execution of the 24-hour event is widely seen as an essential step toward a potential revival of the official Le Mans Virtual esports series, turning this race into a critical demonstration of the platform's reliability.
