The 2026 IMSA Esports Global Championship heads to Watkins Glen International on Sunday, 25 October, for round three of its fifth season. A total of 52 teams are slated to contest the two-hour and 40-minute endurance race across two distinct categories, featuring 20 entries in the Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) class and 32 cars competing in Grand Touring Daytona (GTD).
Bleu Mercure Esport arrives at Watkins Glen holding the lead in both championship standings. The squad topped the GTP division after pairing an opening victory at Road Atlanta with another podium finish at Sebring in their No. 31 Acura. In GTD, Bleu Mercure took the category lead by 23 points following a dominant Sebring victory from pole with Thibault Cazaubon and Corentin Lassine sharing the No. 132 Porsche.
Sebring also delivered a dramatic GTP victory for Porsche Coanda Esports Racing Team. Despite enduring malfunctioning equipment where Alejandro Sánchez had to wrestle a broken throttle pedal that delivered inconsistent output, the No. 91 Porsche held on for the win after Charlie Collins built an early lead.
Sunday's event will award points for both qualifying and the race on the historic New York circuit's Grand Prix layout. Live coverage will begin with the Countdown to Green broadcast at 1:45 p.m. ET (18:45 GMT) before official race coverage commences at 2:00 p.m. ET. Following this event, the championship will travel west to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on 8 November.
