Sven Markert and Lars Harbeck Crowned 2026 RCN Champions as Schall Duo Wins Season Finale
Sven Markert and Lars Harbeck clinched the 2026 Rundstrecken-Challenge Nürburgring title after sweeping seven class wins, while Janina and Ralf Schall claimed overall victory at the season-closing Schwedenkreuz 3-hour race.
Sven Markert and Lars Harbeck have taken the overall 2026 Rundstrecken-Challenge Nürburgring (RCN) championship title. Campaigning a BMW 320i, the Berlin-based father-and-son pairing scored class H3 victories across all seven rounds of the season, which proved sufficient to secure top honours in the series.
Their title bid was bolstered when their closest rivals, Jens Schneider and Robin Reimer in class R4, suffered two defeats over the course of the campaign. Although Schneider and Reimer claimed class victory once more during the season finale, they narrowly fell short in the standings to finish as runners-up. Third place in the overall championship went to Christian Koch in a BMW 325i from class H4.
The final event of the year, the traditional three-hour "Schwedenkreuz" race, saw nearly 140 teams take to the Nürburgring for morning practice in cool conditions on a drying circuit. While the Porsche Cayman GT4 CS of Alain Dutronc and Torsten Kratz started from pole position, the father-daughter duo of Janina Schall and Ralf Schall (Porsche 911 GT3 Cup) quickly moved into the lead.
Only David Vogt and Marc Basseng, driving an Opel Astra TCR, remained within reach of the leaders during the race. By the chequered flag, the Schall crew crossed the finish line with a lead of just over a minute ahead of the Opel squad, capping off the season before the winter break.
