iRacing has published the schedule and competition details for the upcoming FF1600 Festival Special Event Presented by CONSPIT, scheduled to run from 30 October to 1 November. Emulating the real-world Formula Ford Festival, the virtual competition will take place on the Brands Hatch Indy layout using the open-wheel Ray FF1600.
The competition features an open setup format with dynamic weather enabled, scheduled in the sim for 25 October at 10:00 AM. Driver entry requires a Class D Formula license or higher, or a Rookie license holding at least a 4.0 Safety Rating. Each session begins with a 30-minute warmup followed by an eight-minute, two-lap qualifying session. The heat racing structure divides fields into two 10-lap heats of up to 28 competitors, with the top 13 drivers from each heat advancing straight to the final. Remaining participants battle in a 10-lap Last Chance Qualifier fielding up to 30 drivers, where the top four finishers transfer to complete the 30-car grid for the 20-lap main event.
Five race timeslots are scheduled across the weekend: Friday at 22:00 GMT, Saturday at 07:00 GMT, Saturday at 12:00 GMT, Saturday at 16:00 GMT, and Sunday at 00:00 GMT. The Saturday 12:00 GMT top split will be streamed live via iRacing.com/live with commentary by RaceSpot. Incident rules dictate an initial drive-through penalty at 17 incident points, additional drive-through penalties every 8 points thereafter, and disqualification at 35 incident points.
