Asetek Unveils Budget-Friendly Initium DD10 Direct Drive Wheelbase with Future Xbox Support

Danish sim racing hardware manufacturer Asetek has launched the Initium DD10, an entry-level direct drive wheelbase priced at $499.

28 October 2026

Danish sim racing manufacturer Asetek has expanded its product catalog with the announcement of the Initium DD10. Positioned as the company's most affordable direct drive wheelbase to date, the new unit has officially gone on sale with a retail price of $499 (or €499).

Out of the box, the wheelbase delivers a baseline torque output of 10 Nm. Drivers looking for additional force feedback strength can upgrade performance up to 14 Nm by utilizing an optional Boost Kit add-on.

A notable technical highlight of the Initium DD10 is built-in hardware readiness for the Microsoft Xbox ecosystem. While the wheelbase itself includes the necessary integrated hardware for console connectivity, full platform compatibility will require an official Xbox-compatible steering wheel. Asetek plans to launch its first supported Xbox wheel rim in the first quarter of 2027.
