eNASCAR College Series Heads to Watkins Glen for the Big Apple Battle Tournament
The 2026-27 eNASCAR College iRacing Series heads to Watkins Glen International as 100 student drivers compete in Ford Mustang GT4 machinery for spots in the tournament final.
The 2026-27 eNASCAR College iRacing Series presented by Logitech G travels to Upstate New York this Wednesday night for the Big Apple Battle at Watkins Glen International. Marking the first road course event of the campaign, the competition is held in partnership with IMSA. A field of 100 collegiate racers will contest the Quarterfinal and Semifinal rounds, with only 40 drivers earning transfer spots to the Final round scheduled for Week 2.
The tournament marks a distinct shift in machinery, swapping the championship's standard NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series vehicles for the Ford Mustang GT4. More than 200 eligible students from colleges across the United States and Canada participated in the qualifying Time Attack window held from 20 to 25 October to secure their places on the 100-car grid.
This event follows a dramatic showdown at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the Queen City Crown, where Horry-Georgetown's Timothy Holmes captured victory in a three-wide photo finish by just 0.002 seconds, holding off Adam Garza and Dylan Ault at the stripe. The college championship awards a share of $60,000 in scholarships across the season.
Live broadcast coverage of the opening week begins Wednesday, 28 October, at 7:00 p.m. ET on eNASCAR.com and official iRacing social channels. Following the conclusion of the Big Apple Battle on 4 November, the series will head to Michigan International Speedway for the Great Lakes Gauntlet, returning to NASCAR Trucks with Time Attack qualifying running from 3 to 8 November.
