RaceRoom Player Count Surges Following Historic Update 2026
The release of the Historic Update 2026 has propelled RaceRoom Racing Experience to its highest concurrent player figures on Steam since March 2020.
Following the launch of the extensive Historic Update 2026, RaceRoom Racing Experience has seen a substantial influx of active players. Peak concurrent users on Steam climbed past 2000, marking the simulator's strongest player count milestone since March 2020. This represents a noticeable leap compared to September 2026, when the platform peaked at 1235 active drivers, with the average player count settling around 1771 users in the wake of the latest release.
The Historic Update introduced a comprehensive overhaul to the simulator, featuring a completely redesigned user interface, reworked force feedback, and netcode enhancements, alongside a large collection of vintage racing machinery and historic circuits.
Developer KW Studios has continued to respond to player feedback, deploying four hotfixes with additional patches underway to refine the controversial slowdown penalty system. In addition, the studio has restructured the Ranked Multiplayer schedule to reduce overlapping sessions and assemble fuller starting grids.
