FIA F4 Global Esports Championship kicks off 2026 season with Mid-Ohio and Fuji double-header
The 2026 FIA F4 Global Esports Championship Presented by MOZA begins this Saturday, October 31, with 30 regional qualifiers tackling Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and Fuji International Speedway.
The 2026 FIA F4 Global Esports Championship Presented by MOZA returns this weekend to open its new campaign. Races 1 and 2 are scheduled for Saturday, October 31, gathering 30 top sim racers who qualified across three continental regions to fight across an eight-race, four-round schedule for a share of the $35,000 prize purse.
In keeping with the championship's tradition of encouraging adaptability, circuit locations are kept secret until 24 hours prior to each event. For the opening weekend, organizers revealed that drivers will compete at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for Race 1 before heading to Fuji International Speedway for Race 2. The remaining venues on the calendar will similarly be unveiled just one day before competition.
The global field was established during a 12-week qualifying phase in 2026 iRacing Season 3. The top 10 eligible drivers from the official regional points competitions in the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe secured invitations, forming the final 30-car grid. All eight races throughout the season will use fixed setups.
Saturday's schedule requires rapid adjustments between the two circuits. The first round features a 10-minute practice and a 10-minute qualifying session ahead of a 15-minute sprint race. Following a five-minute intermission, competitors will repeat the format with another 10 minutes of practice, 10 minutes of qualifying, and a second 15-minute feature. Race winners receive 25 championship points, with points awarded down to 15th position, where the finisher earns a single point.
Live coverage of every round will be streamed on official iRacing channels starting at 19:00 GMT (3:00 pm ET / 05:00 AEST). Additional details on the competition and regulations can be found on the official iRacing championship page.
