Time trials have opened for collegiate sim racers attempting to qualify for the Great Lakes Gauntlet at Michigan International Speedway in the eNASCAR College iRacing Series.

3 November 2026

Qualifying time trials are now open for the Great Lakes Gauntlet at Michigan International Speedway, an upcoming event in the 2026-27 eNASCAR College iRacing Series presented by Logitech G. The qualification phase takes place through iRacing's Time Attack mode, running from November 3 to November 8. Registered collegiate sim racers setting the top times will advance to the tournament's opening competition week scheduled for November 11.

Organised alongside the PlayVS College League, the eight-tournament season features a shared prize pool of $60,000 in scholarship funds. In addition to the returning Student Championship, the 2026-27 campaign introduces a dedicated School Championship. Alongside NASCAR Trucks, the series will also bring back road course competition through an IMSA partnership using the Ford Mustang GT4.

Under the tournament structure, the 100 fastest eligible students will qualify for the first week of action. The field will then be whittled down to 40 drivers who will contest the Final Round on November 18. To be eligible, entrants must register for series eligibility and complete their laps within the designated "eNASCAR College iRacing Series" session under the Time Attack Competitions menu in the iRacing interface.
