Seven drivers penalised in opening WSMP race at Poznań

The opening race of the final round of the Polish Touring Car Championships at Poznań circuit saw seven drivers handed penalties, the majority stemming from violations of neutralisation procedures during a safety car period.

Przemysław Bieńkowski and Piotr Wira battled for victory in the combined GT3 race after Tomasz Dyszkiewicz, who led early in his Ligier LMP3, was overtaken by the two GT3 drivers. The decisive moment came when Artur Pazewski crashed his Porsche 911 on the main straight, triggering a full-course yellow. Both Bieńkowski and Wira failed to slow immediately when yellow flags were displayed, each receiving 25-second penalties. Bieńkowski's additional delay in rejoining allowed Wira to take the lead, but the Mercedes-AMG driver recovered to claim victory on the final lap. Dyszkiewicz also incurred a penalty, losing the prototype class win to Jacek Zielonka in a Radical SR3.

In the 992 Cup class, Maciej Bernacik secured a commanding victory ahead of Filip Zagórski and Amuno Pelette. Maciej Jaglarz finished fourth on track but was demoted by penalty, promoting Tomasz Lach and Piotr Podoba. Rafał Lizun and Pazewski also received penalties; Pazewski's came for causing a collision with Igor Klaja at the third corner.

Other class winners included Paweł Kiepura (Porsche Cayman) in GT4 over Marek Zmysłowski (Audi R8 LMS); Piotr Koczuk (BMW M3 E46) in the 3.5-litre class, winning by 3.5 seconds from Paweł Gwidon Wydrzyński (Honda Civic); Zbigniew Łazarz (BMW E82) in the two-litre class despite a false-start penalty; and Maciej Zawadzki (Honda Civic) in the 1.6-litre category. Antoni Makuch topped the National 6 division, while Jakub Święch won RN2.
