Marszałkowski scores career-best result at Spa in Clio Cup Series

Polish driver Oskar Marszałkowski made his debut at Spa-Francorchamps in the Clio Cup Series, delivering a strong performance across two races at the Belgian circuit. The 18-year-old, competing for JTS Racing Team, finished both encounters inside the top 15, with his second-race result marking a new personal best in the European one-make series.

Marszałkowski's weekend began from 20th on the grid in qualifying. He made immediate progress in the opening race, climbing to 16th place by the end of the first lap. Two separate safety-car periods disrupted the race flow, but the driver managed to gain another position during the restarts, ultimately crossing the line in 15th—equalling his previous best result in the series.

The second race presented different challenges. Overnight rain left the Ardennes circuit partially wet for Sunday's qualifying session, and JTS Racing Team struggled to find optimal setup for the damp conditions. Marszałkowski lined up 21st on the grid but again demonstrated strong racecraft. He gained three positions on the opening lap and continued to progress methodically through the field. By lap five, he had broken into the top 15. Another safety-car intervention with three minutes remaining set up a final sprint, during which Marszałkowski gained two more positions to finish 12th—a new career-best in Clio Cup Series competition.

"I'm very satisfied with the weekend," Marszałkowski said. "I showed myself well on a new track. Qualifying is an area we need to improve, especially in wet conditions where we don't yet have effective setups. In the races, though, I could be proud of my driving. I demonstrated my pace, made effective overtakes, racing was fair, and the car stayed in one piece, so I had a lot of fun."

Marszałkowski has two further outings scheduled for the season: the final round of Clio Cup Bohemia at Hungaroring, followed by a return to Clio Cup Series action at Portimão in Portugal.
