Toyota GR Cup Heads to Autodrom Słomczyn Alongside Digital Esports Qualifiers
Toyota Gazoo Racing Polska has confirmed its upcoming joint round with Asfaltowy Puchar Toru Słomczyn on 10 October, running in tandem with the closing qualifiers of its digital cup.
The Polish brand cup TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Polska is teaming up with Asfaltowy Puchar Toru Słomczyn for the first time. On Saturday, 10 October, competitors piloting the Toyota GR Yaris and GR Corolla will gather at Autodrom Słomczyn to contest further qualifying spots ahead of the Grand Final.
The real-world event splits entrants into two categories: the TOYOTA GR OPEN CUP for modified GR Yaris and GR Corolla machinery, and the TOYOTA GR STREET CUP for factory production examples. For the street division, which launched in May at Tor Modlin, Słomczyn represents the third of four qualifying stops this season, offering two tickets to the Grand Final. The visit also serves as critical preparation for the season-closing TOYOTA GR CUP Grand Final and GR ZLOT meeting, scheduled at Autodrom Słomczyn on 25 October.
Alongside the track day action, the TOYOTA GR CUP DIGITAL virtual series is reaching its decisive phase. The seventh round wrapped up on 27 September with the Toyota GR86 at Mugello in Forza Motorsport, completing the 12-driver roster for the upcoming game final. The 45-minute feature race was won by Stanisław Piasecki, followed by Paweł Ząbek in second and Michał Olejnik in third.
Meanwhile, the eighth and final digital qualifier is underway featuring the flagship Toyota GR GT on the fictional Tor na Wyspie Legend circuit in Forza Horizon 6. The top 24 drivers on the leaderboard will advance to a direct contest on Sunday, 11 October at 18:00, with the top three completing the Forza Horizon 6 final grid. The respective game finals take place on 17 and 18 October, sending six sim racers from each title to the on-site Grand Final at Poznań Game Arena on 24 October, where contenders will battle for a 15,000 PLN prize pool and Moza R5 wheel bundles.
