Marcin Jaskulski and Arek Tyc Star in Wet Autumn Round at Autodrom Slomczyn

Following a six-month break, grassroots competition returned to Autodrom Slomczyn in early October with Round 3 of the 2026 asphalt cup. Nearly 100 crews lined up to face unpredictable autumn weather, with intermittent rain keeping the circuit damp and treacherous throughout the day. Conditions were made particularly tricky by rubber laid down during a recent Drift Open finale, creating exceptionally slick patches across the course.

The overall battle turned into a duel between Toyota GR Yaris entries. Arek Tyc set the fastest combined times of the day in his GR Yaris, finishing five seconds clear of the field. However, competing in the Pro class meant official round victory went to Marcin Jaskulski, who also drove a GR Yaris to the Open 1 category win. Mateusz Tkaczyk split the Toyotas by taking second in Open 1 behind the wheel of a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X, while Lech Kaczmarek completed the podium in another GR Yaris.

Close battles ran across the displacement-based classes as well:

• Open 6: Rafal Ochocki (Fiat Seicento) edged out Lukasz Jagniski (Nissan Micra) on the final test, with Paulina Niezabitowska taking third in another Micra.
• Open 5: Artur Ryzinski (Fiat Panda) took a decisive win by nearly 10 seconds ahead of Mariusz Maj (Honda Civic) and Rafal Bielicki (Fiat Seicento).
• Open 4: Honda Civic machinery swept the top spots, led by Mateusz Onieszczuk ahead of Maciej Iwon and Kamil Pacek.
• Open 3: Maciej Goduslawski piloted a BMW 318 to a late victory over Maciej Wajszczuk (BMW E36), with Artur Brudzinski taking third in an Opel Astra.
• Open 2: Former MPRC regular Lukasz Grzybowski took the class win, besting Milosz Majewski (Fiat Panda) and Pawel Olczak (BMW).

The fourth and final round of the season, serving as the Krzysztof "Szaya" Szaykowski Memorial, is scheduled to take place at Autodrom Slomczyn on 7 November.
