Co-op Rally Game Left! Left! Left! Puts Players in the Co-Driver's Seat
Independent studio Stellux Interactive has unveiled Left! Left! Left!, a cooperative rally game focused on team communication that enters public Steam testing on 23 October.
Independent studio Stellux Interactive has introduced an unconventional take on motorsport gaming with Left! Left! Left!, a cooperative two-player title centered around the dynamic between a rally driver and their co-driver. Moving away from traditional realistic physics simulators like EA Sports WRC, the game focuses on communication and coordination between both crew members to successfully bring their car across the finish line.
In Left! Left! Left!, each participant handles entirely different duties inside the cockpit. While the driver battles an unpredictable and sliding hatchback with limited visibility, the co-driver must navigate using an in-game digital tablet. Adding to the challenge, the tablet reacts to G-forces and slides around the cabin unless physically held down. If the windshield becomes covered in mud at designated sections of the stage, the co-driver must temporarily put the tablet aside to activate the wipers, leaving the driver without pacenotes during that moment.
Developer Patrik Plaňanský aimed to create a cooperative experience where communication errors carry immediate consequences. Mechanical quirks further amplify the cabin chaos, including doors that can swing open during aggressive cornering. The vehicle itself is designed to feel like a worn-out machine on rough roads while remaining fully controllable via keyboard controls.
The project has quickly drawn substantial attention online, amassing 170,000 additions to Steam wishlists following its initial preview. Stellux Interactive is scheduled to launch a 72-hour public playtest on Steam beginning on 23 October, allowing interested players to queue up and test the co-driver mechanics firsthand.
