Race 2, McLaren Trophy Europe: Oskar Marszałkowski and Jody Lambrughi Win Pro-Am in Portimão

Eighteen-year-old Polish racer Oskar Marszałkowski made a successful debut in the McLaren Trophy Europe season finale at the Portimão circuit in Portugal, taking victory in the Pro-Am class in Race 2 alongside Italian co-driver Jody Lambrughi.

Marszałkowski, who normally competes in a Renault Clio, secured the one-off appearance with factory-backed squad Raptor Engineering following official tests organized by McLaren Motorsport earlier this year. Sharing the #90 McLaren Artura Trophy with experienced GT competitor Lambrughi, the duo began the weekend by securing pole position for the opening race. Lambrughi controlled the lead during the opening stint, but a prolonged safety car period shortly before the mandatory pit stops compacted the field. A lengthy pit stop dropped Marszałkowski to the tail of the Pro-Am classification upon taking over. Although Marszałkowski fought back to cross the line in fourth, the crew was later removed from the final classification alongside two other cars.

Race 2 began under damp and greasy conditions, with light rain forcing drivers to manage grip on slick tires. Marszałkowski started from 16th on the grid, carving his way through the pack and approaching the overall top ten before handing the car over to Lambrughi. A significantly sharper pit stop returned the car to contention, allowing Lambrughi to fight through the field over an eight-lap stint to claim the Pro-Am class victory.

The triumph marked the fifth win of the season across 10 races for Raptor Engineering and the third for car #90. As a guest entry, Marszałkowski was not eligible for full championship points. The Polish driver is scheduled to return to his primary campaign in the Clio Cup Bohemia season finale next weekend.
